What is a CFL?

In a world full of fake friends, there are some friends that really care for us. Such friends are often known as Close friends. You can share anything with them. CFL on Instagram is also a similar feature. It stands for Close Friends List. This is a list of such friends with whom you can share everything without the fear of being judged by anyone. On Instagram, such friends are also known as Close Friends.

How to Create a CFL?

If you have something to share but don’t know how to tell it to your close friends together, just drop a CFS. But to drop one, it is important to create a close friends list. Let’s focus on how to create one:

• Open the app and visit your profile page by clicking on the profile icon.
• Once the page is open, click on the three lines present at the top of your page in the right-hand corner. 
• There will be new options available on the screen. Tap on the “Close Friends” option from it and you will get a list of the users present on your screen.
• Select the users you want to add to the list. Just tap on the circle present at the side of the usernames. Please note that when you get the list in starting, there will be a suggested list of students depending on your interactions with them. However, if you don’t see the username of the people whom you want to add to the list, you can always search for it. 
• Once everything is completed, click on Done.

When everything is done, you need to click on get started option and complete the CFL. 

How to Edit a CFL?

There are chances that you may have forgotten to add a Close Friend (CF) to the list or vice versa. In such a case, you will need to edit your CFL. To edit the list, all you have to do is go to the close friend’s option from the settings just like you did earlier to create one. You will see a list of the people that are already on your list. There are two things that you may want to do, either delete a person or add them to the list. 

To add a person, just search for the username in the search bar and there will be a square box at the side of the name of it. Just click on it and add the name to the list. 

Whereas, if you have mistakenly added a person to the list or are not a friend of someone at the present time, you just want to remove them from the list. To remove them, you will have to untick the box present at the side of the name of that person.
