Method 1

The first method is very easy and you just need to follow a few steps to flag or DM on your inbox: 

1. Open the Instagram app and move forward on the DM icon. 
2. Look for the conversation you want to flag and swipe left on it. 
3. Click on more options and you will get the list of new options. 
4. Tap on the edit table and you will get a new option to get started. Tap on it and select the circle present at the right of the flag. 
5. Click on the save button to complete the process. 

Method 2

Below I have discussed steps of another method by which you can flag a conversation on Instagram: 

1. Open the Instagram app and again click on the DM inbox icon. 
2. Select the conversation you want to have a flag on. 
3. Tap on the conversation and open it. 
4. You will get a label icon present at the top right of the screen. 
5. Click on the circle which is present at the right of the flag. 
6. Click on the save button and your conversation will be flagged. 

When it is done, you will notice an orange triangle present at the right-hand corner of the conversation. 

How to Use the Flag Icon to Save a Post?

You must have seen a flag icon below the post or a reel in your feed. This icon helps you to save it. When you tap on it, you can save that post or a reel in a particular collection.
